National Work Zone Awareness Week 2026: Protecting Those Who Maintain Our Roads

The message is clear – we need to protect the individuals dedicated to maintaining our roads.

Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) honoured the memory of roadway workers lost in the line of duty on 21 April 2026, marking a significant point this National Work Zone Awareness Week in the US.

CTDOT is set to launch a work zone speed enforcement program this June to help reduce excessive speeding and change driver behaviour using Acusensus technology.
