Spotlighting Andrew Truong on Spinal Cord Injury Awareness Day

September 10, 2026

“I feel great knowing that I am making a difference.” – Andrew Truong, Acusensus Image Review Officer

This Spinal Cord Injury Awareness Day, we’re spotlighting Andrew Truong’s experience as an Acusensus Image Review Officer.

Since 2020, Spinal Cord Injuries Australia (SCIA) and Acusensus have collaborated to create meaningful employment for people with spinal cord injuries, including those directly affected by road trauma. We proactively support the 6% of our workforce that identifies as disabled with accessible workspaces, adjusted hours and remote work options.

“When I first was injured, I never thought I’d be able to find work again. When I found out about Acusensus, I wanted to be a part of a company that helps keep the roads safe from people offending. I went from reviewing mobile phone offences to reviewing speed offences across New South Wales. I feel great knowing that I am making a difference. We’re seeing a downward trend of offences, and that is because of what we do.” – Andrew Truong, Acusensus Image Review Officer
