National Road Safety Week 2026: Remember the 1,300
1,314 Reasons Why
Today marks the start of National Road Safety Week, where we pause to remember the 1,300.
In 2025, 1,314 people lost their lives on Australian roads. These aren’t just figures on a spreadsheet, they represent an empty seat at the table for over a thousand families.
Mobility should never be at the cost of safety. Acusensus’ mission of changing behaviours and saving lives is built on the conviction that road trauma is preventable. Today, we acknowledge that while progress has been made, the current reality of our roads means our journey to eliminate road trauma still continues.
We commend SARAH Group, road safety advocates and our partners across the country.
This week, we honour the lives lost on our roads and recommit to the collective work required to reach Vision Zero.
