Acusensus partners with Queensland government

July 12, 2021

Acusensus is proud to be supporting the Queensland government in its endeavours to improve road safety and reduce serious injuries and fatalities on the roads.

Driver distraction contributes to almost 20% of serious injuries and 12% of all lives lost on Queensland roads.

Starting with a warning period, the program will look to capture both distracted driving and non-seatbelt compliance.

During a trial last year, more than 15,000 people were detected illegally using a mobile phone and while more than 2,200 were not wearing a seat belt.

Acusensus looks forward to working with the Queensland government to improve safety on its road network.
