The South Lake Minnetonka Police Department and the Highway 7 Safety Coalition have achieved a significant milestone, reaching zero traffic fatalities along the Highway 7 Corridor in 2025. These agencies implemented a holistic strategy that combined community education with advanced technology to address dangerous driving behaviours. These efforts have seen fatal crashes reduced to zero from five fatalities in 2024, and serious-injury crashes drop by 50% compared to previous yearly averages.
