National Road Safety Week 2025: More Than A Number
As National Road Safety Week comes to an end, we continue to reflect on the importance of safe driving and remember that every life on our roads is more than just a statistic.
Sadly, loss from road trauma touches most people in society, and this is also the case for Acusensus Managing Director Alexander Jannink. Alex experienced firsthand the emotional consequences of road trauma when his friend was tragically killed by a driver who was distracted and impaired. This event, alongside Alex’s commitment to road safety, inspired the founding of Acusensus to prevent similar tragedies from occurring. Today, Acusensus is working to bring our impact on global roads, as we understand that road trauma is a global problem.
Through collaboration, we can all play our part in making our roads safer. National Road Safety Week reminds us to pledge to drive so others survive. This means promising to drive safely, remove all distractions and not putting other people at risk through dangerous behaviours such as speeding, driving while tired or driving under the influence. Together, we can all contribute to ensuring we all get home safe to our loved ones.
