National Road Safety Week 2025: Regional Roads

As part of National Road Safety Week, today’s focus turns to Regional Roads and the critical importance of safety in these areas.

The WA Road Safety Commission is taking significant steps in its commitment to reducing road trauma. By leveraging Acusensus‘ world-first Multi-function Enforcement solution statewide, the RSC is able to identify and understand driver behaviours that put road users at risk, especially on regional roads. This comprehensive program detects distracted driving, seatbelt non-compliance and speeding (both point and average) simultaneously. Multi-function will soon be found in regional locations across WA, underscoring the WA RSC’s commitment to the safety of all road users.
