National Road Safety Week 2026: Refresh your road rules knowledge
Safety is a shared language. Let’s keep the conversation current.
None of us are perfect drivers every single day. Over time, habits can form and complacency can quietly replace the vigilance we had when we first earned our licences.
Today’s National Road Safety Week theme reminds us to “Refresh your road rules.” Safety should be a given for all road users, and that safety is built on the foundation of a shared understanding of the rules.
The mission of “changing behaviours, saving lives” is grounded in the belief that road trauma is preventable. While technology helps maintain safety, the individual commitment to knowing and following rules remains the first line of defence, creating a predictable and safe environment for all road users, whether it be drivers, cyclists or pedestrians.
